Today's almost the end of May 1.
And I'm like... woah!!! Another month passed by so fast... I didn't even have time to notice going past me! :D
Actually, more like, I was busy busy doing stuff like winning lottos, being gifted, etc etc etc - so that I have plenty of shimmerscales for when we finally open the shimmerscale lists later THIS month.
YEP! I said THIS month!
I didn't do much news last month for various reasons. Long story short, I was busy getting those pretty shimmerscales and having work on my mouth done.
I still have yet to get enough money to get the cavities fixed (I sure don't want my teeth to be lost and me have to deal with wearing actual full dentures before i'm even 40)!
Ah, well, that's not for here, that's for another place. :)
So that's basically it.
Next post is gonna be me archiving the April gifts list.
With bright smiles!
~Sunny

A little bit about Lady Caetlyn
Hi! Today it's all about Lady Caetlyn. I also go by Kim, Cat, mom, hey you...
I'm in my early 40's, married for 14 years (been together for 21). I have one beautiful daughter (who is autistic) and 2 obnoxious cats who are in a constant power struggle to be queen of the manor house. Demona is a Calico with a bit of tabby striping. Evangeline is a tortie-calico. They are exquisite kitties, both shelter cats. (It helps to have family who works at the shelter and has a gift for matching people and pets). I am also a major Literature and History geek.
My daytime job is as an Administrative Specialist (aka glorified secretary, babysitter, hand-holder, crisis solver, etc).
I am the leader of an awesome Junior Girl Scout troop. I could wax eloquent about how awesome my girls are and how wonderful the parents are. Scouting has been a great thing for my daughter. I am also a PTA parent.
My other hobby is the Society for Creative Anachronism, which is a worldwide non-profit, educational, middle ages re-enactment group. I have been playing since 1994 when I started at UCSB. My main interest in the group is cooking and researching period recipes, and am beginning to learn to do card weaving and lacemaking.
I love playing Dragon Cave, and have a weakness for Silver dragons, though I like most of the breeds equally.
My favorite food (which I shouldn't be eating) is potatoes; followed by chocolate and the Thin Mint and Tagalong (Peanut Butter and chocolate) Girl Scout Cookies. (The Lemon cookies are quickly becoming a favorite of mine). In my copious free time (what on earth is that), I like to read, sew, embroider, and cook. I like D&D (most of my dragons are names from characters and inspired by the Forgotten Realms).
Feel free to ask me any questions, though there are certain things I won't share ;)
Thanks for reading!

March Madness!
We've started a new month already! The tinsel breeding is slowing down, so I suspect we'll be seeing more people on the lists soon (hopefully).
You guys have been so wonderful about adhering to the rules that I just must give a shout-out to all of you!
The same goes for all you wonderful Gifters!!!
We gifted 38! gifts last month. Let's see if we can't beat that this month, yeah?
I'm so blessed to be able to give you all a venue to find people you want to gift. Or want more tinsels, etc etc.
On a side note: two more weeks are left before the moderation application deadline. March 19.
So far I've gotten some excellent ones.
I need mods, not because of how slow the thread is moving along at this time, but because of the madness that will occur when I finally open the shimmer-scale lists.
So yeah.
Nothing else to say that I can think of.
Don't forget to adjust your time on March 10 - set it an hour ahead. Yay to no more darkness at 5 pm!
Oh yes, March 20 is the first day of spring, and accordingly, the seasonal dragon will become spring that day until Summer kicks in.

About Sunny...
Today, I'm going to tell you all about Sunny... who is me, of course.
Well, I won't reveal some secrets, naturally... but you get what I mean.
First off, you have to KNOW that I'm actually insane... but hey, what's sanity without an in?
I'm in my mid-30's, married, no kids other than a crazy cat that's my daughter, and that I live in what is commonly referred to as Sin City.
Kids are something I can't have, so I have Milagro (Mila for short) as my only daughter. She is so cute. Some people refer to her markings as a tuxedo cat. Well, I can't dispute that as she does have white belly all the way up to her neck, white "gloves" on her front paws, along with white "boots" on her back paws.
My hubby bought her home to me on Christmas Eve - a scared 6 month old kitty. That was over 3 years ago.
She is still easily scared and my hubby is like, wha... cos she prefers him WAY more than me. She'll snuggle and all that with him. But I just glance at her, she's off to the other side of the room before I can blink. :P
I also adore playing Dragon Cave - I am not a collector (even though my scroll may indicate otherwise). Aywas is my other game of love because I enjoy creating pretty pets. :D
My favorite drink is Cherry Dr. Pepper. I adore eating pizza. Movies happen to be a we.. .adoration of mine.
Hopefully more mods will be babbling later on, especially when I finally get around to choosing the new secondary mods.
I might babble some more later on. Who knows... Oh hey, and I actually now have a beautiful gold shimmer-scale prize dragon! :D

Busy Bees!
There was a delay in updating, but that's because I had to confer with my team about some tweaking to the rules.
I've been a busy bee this week, as well.
It's all done so now you can be on a list for more tinsels, even if you ALREADY have that color. Only applies to the Tinsel Breed, tho.
One of our mods has become an author in this blog - she will be introducing you to who she is, whatever she babbles about. I dunno what she wants to say...
Stay tuned and find out!

Flowery Event!
So yesterday began a fun event for DC players.
Gifting flowers to each other in a beautiful blue vase with silver kissing dragons.
Today is a Saturday. (No kidding, eh? Well, in my part of world, it is - in others, it's already Sunday - they sure like to live in the future, methinks!)
Everybody on the tinsel lists has gotten gifted. And all the lists are... gasp... empty!
I think everybody is enjoying their flowery event this week - very awesome way of playing on DC. TJ and the spriters sure have done themselves awesomely this week.
I'm working on the mod application (for the secondary mod positions) - I have it almost done - I just need to figure out exactly how to do one thing before I can post it.

Introduction of Gifting of Prizes!
This is a blog for the Gifting of Prizes! mods to babble on. Each blog post will be signed by the person who writes one. Myself, the primary mods, AND the secondary mods will be able to make a blog post.
The reasoning for creating a blog?
Basically, this is gonna be a blog where you, the users, can get to know us mods better.
Also, I feel it important that you (the community) have transparency, as in, you can see what we're up to, why stuff is happening, who we are, so forth. All that kind of thing.
Users can make posts commenting on certain actions, asking for more clarification, so forth. It's all subjective, but pretty much a simple blog where you can actually communicate with the mods, get answers, so forth.
At the end of each month, I will archive the list of the gifters into a blog post. This way, everyone can always find past information.
If there are questions that's frequently asked, I may end up adding those questions and the answers to them into the FAQ/Rules section of the thread.
The comments that I have been making in the "pretend" blog will go into the next post so that you all know what have been happening, when things happened, so forth.
